  • The Divine Mother was born Mirra Alfassa in Paris on 21st February 1878. In 1914 the Mother voyaged to Pondicherry to meet Sri Aurobindo, whom she at once recognised as the one who for many years had inwardly guided her own spiritual path. In 1926, Sri Aurobindo gave complete charge of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram to her. Under her loving and able guidance the Ashram grew into a large, multi-faceted spiritual community. In 1952 she established Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education, and in 1968 an international township ‘Auroville’. The Mother left her body on 17th November 1973.
  • Seminars in Social Science, Science and Environmental Studies, Debates in English and Hindi, Speech Presentations and Poetry Recitations in English and Hindi are conducted annually. Other Literary Activities like Poetry Writing Fest, Singing, Dancing, Painting, Collage, Pot Painting and many other competitions are conducted on a large scale.
  • Workshops are conducted by professionals in Scientific Study, Creativity, Puppetry, Theatre, Reading enrichment, Story-telling, Story weaving and Narration, Calligraphy, Western Instrumental Music, Personality Development, Life Skills program and Creative Games on a regular basis. Students are given ample opportunities to attend nature camps and involve in gardening and health club activities.
  • The School houses a large playfield comprising of a Basket Ball court, Volleyball court, Throw Ball court, Kho-Kho field and Badminton court. Pre-designed sandpits, Jungle gym and play-corners amidst extensive greenery and landscape gardens are provided for the younger children. In addition, provision for indoor games which include carrom, chess, table-tennis are made available.
